Renewed GUI: Toolbars, Data Manager tab and Model browser.
Save charts as images (bitmaps - PNG and vectors - EMF), zoom out, switch to full-screen - now within the context menu (right-click) for all charts.
Date/time variable now can be analyzed using country-specific Holiday calendars.
Support for datasets with future data. (For example you have weather forecast or a schedule for data points you wish to forecast. Thus, these columns will be longer than the others.)
Two new options for learning window size in the time series preprocess panel.
GMDH Shell Free Edition now allows activation of a 7-day fully functional Professional Edition trial.
Import module now recognizes Date/Time columns in various formats that makes possible extraction of the following numeric variables: year, month, day of week, day of month, hour, minute, second. In most cases you should then decompose the extracted variables to binary variables using the corresponding operator from the panel 'Transformations'.
Some GUI improvements for the 'obsolete data detection' feature. The feature helps to ensure that time series data imported from several different files have the same timestamp in the last row.
Now many of error messages contain suggestions on how to resolve them.
Various small changes and enchantments in the user interface.
Fixed: Inability to apply models if numeric columns of a dataset were decomposed.
Fixed: Repeated processing of the same project caused an error during model plotting.
Added a new 'Hold-out' parameter called 'missing values' that allows to hold-out and predict automatically all missing values of the target variable. In the previous versions of GMDH Shell this feature was always turned-on that resulted in significant workflow limitations.
Fixed: Plot tab visualization failure after clicking at 'Apply model' button.
The Import module can now transpose the data files that store variables in rows - into the columns. (Since GMDH Shell works only with variables in columns).
Fixed: Processing could not be started while the dataset is opened by other applications (such as Excel, Notepad, etc.).
Fixed: The data preprocessing parameters could not be set from the command line.
Solver: Improved quality of Neural-type models. Elite selection of neurons was replaced by bi-criteria selection composed of testing error minimization and population diversity maximization. Repeated processing of any project now often produce slightly different models depending on how parallel tasks were distributed across CPU cores.
Solver: Estimation of model coefficients using Robust regression (locked to MAE selection criterion).
File explorer: Pie chart, 3D Bubbles (OpenGL required), expanded Statistics table.
Preprocessor: Handling of spikes.
Preprocessor: Generation of lags with certain step. For example, preprocessor command VarName@0-30:12 means generation of lags with step 12 (only two lags will be generated within the interval 0-30).
New: Contour plot, Heat map and 3D Surface in the File explorer of Data manager.
New: Support for XLSX files.
New: Tabs are groped by plug-in modules.
New: Residual plot in the tab Simulation results.
New: License policy allows activation of GMDH Shell 2.0 Professional edition on two computers and 4 months after the last activation the process can be repeated on a new or upgraded computer.
Restored multi-core CPU support for Neural-type core algorithm.
Fixed: Failure to export some formulas that was loaded using Load simulation button.
Neural-type algorithm is renewed, now it supports save/load/apply of models, more user-defined parameters, export to XLS, and all visualization techniques.
New export menu option: Export preprocessed data to XLS.
Data transformations with root and cube root functions are now consistent in GMDH Shell and Excel.
Square root and logarithm transformations are redefined in order to accept negative values.
Data manager shows more information about operators including plot and formula.
Tabs and panels can be organized as different layouts in the View section of program menu.
Plotting of numerical variables in the File preview section of Data manager.
Fixed bug: Save of a simulation didn't work after model application.
